Mario Dollinger: Food Items
Photographs of food, drinks, crockery and vessels. The arrangements have been created since January 2025 by Mario Dollinger in Dominique Claude Marneau’s apartment at the Berlin Botanical Garden and were composed in collaboration with him. The potpourris correspond to Marneau’s daily menu, completed with decoration for the table. Each ‘item’ is therefore not mere ornament, but an immediate object of use and enjoyment.
Sabine Wild: Cut Flowers
Sabine Wild takes up an old theme. And in the truest sense of the word. She cuts them. Hardly any other motif in art is as sentimental and symbolically charged as the contradictory flower. It stands for beauty, love and transience. As a cut flower, it even becomes a memento mori.
Sabine Wild subjects the photographs of real flowers and their images to a transformation. With this section, the artist reveals levels that would otherwise have remained hidden from us. Two-dimensional images become three-dimensional structures, multi-layered and enigmatic. Last but not least, they become as complex as the flower itself.

Fotografien von Speisen, Getränken, Geschirr und Gefäßen. Die Arrangements entstehen seit Januar 2025 im Apartment von Dominique Claude Marneau am Berliner Botanischen Garten und sind von Mario Dollinger in Zusammenspiel mit ihm komponiert worden. Die Potpourris entsprechen dem tagesaktuellen Speiseplan von Marneau, vollendet mit Zier für die Tafel. Jedes ‘item’ ist somit nicht bloßer Schmuck, sondern unmittelbar Gebrauchs- und Genussgegenstand.
Sabine Wild: Schnittblumen
Sabine Wild greift ein altes Thema auf. Und das im wahrsten Sinne des Wortes. Sie schneidet sie. Kaum ein anderes Motiv der Kunst ist so sentimental und symbolisch aufgeladen wie die widersprüchliche Blume. Sie steht für Schönheit, Liebe und Vergänglichkeit. Als Schnittblume wird sie gar zum Memento mori.
Sabine Wild unterzieht die Fotografien von realen Blumen sowie deren Abbilder einer Transformation. Mit der Sektion legt die Künstlerin Ebenen frei, die uns sonst verborgen geblieben wären. Aus zweidimensionalen Bildern werden dreidimensionale Gebilde, vielschichtig und hintergründig. Nicht zuletzt werden sie so komplex wie die Blume an sich.
