Margaret Murphy
The work of Los Angeles-based photographer Margaret Murphy explores themes of femininity, the commercialisation of identity, the male gaze on women and the influence of social media on photography.
Her exhibition »I Could Look at You All Day« at Villa Heike is her first solo show in Germany, presenting her photographic and AI-generated images that provoke questions about fatness and femininity, as a form of subjective and political exploration.
Margaret Murphy beschäftigt sich in ihrer Arbeit mit Themen wie Weiblichkeit, der Kommerzialisierung von Identität, dem männlichen Blick auf Frauen und dem Einfluss der sozialen Medien auf die Fotografie.
»I Could Look at You All Day« in der Villa Heike ist ihre erste Soloausstellung in Deutschland und präsentiert ihre fotografischen und KI-generierten Bilder, die Fragen über Dicksein und Weiblichkeit provozieren, als eine Form der subjektiven und politischen Erforschung.
