Mirjana Vrbaški
Artist Mirjana Vrbaški invites you to join her at her studio for an artist talk and preview of her new work ‘7/8’! The Studio Preview takes place on Saturday, May 25, 1 – 7 pm, with an Artist Talk (held in English) with art historian Julia Rosenbaum (StudioVisits) at 5 pm.
Mirjana looks forward to sharing her artistic process with you, in particular the transition from portraiture to landscape and the ‘red threads’ between the two. Come by for a drink and a chat – it will be a pleasure to see you!
In ‘7/8’ (2017-ongoing), Vrbaški uses landscape photography to describe an open-eyed observance of intricate systems. Relying on the same methodology as in her portrait work, where seeing means unearthing layer by layer, she immerses herself in the entangled forests of the Dalmatian coast, capturing them as they pulsate under the midday sun… .
