»Sony World Photography Awards 2023«

For the ninth time, the Freundeskreis Willy-Brandt-Haus is presenting the Sony World Photography Awards. In its 16th year, the prestigious competition celebrates outstanding photographic works from a wide range of genres and categories. This year, for the first time, the entire series of winners in the various categories of the Professional competition will be shown in the exhibition. Individual images from the Open, Youth and Student competition can also be seen. With over 100 photographs, the exhibition shows the diversity of topics and genres of the Sony World Photography Awards.

Zum neunten Mal präsentiert der Freundeskreis Willy-Brandt-Haus die Sony World Photography Awards. Der renommierte Wettbewerb zeigt im 16. Jahr herausragende fotografische Werke aus verschiedensten Genres und Kategorien. In der Ausstellung werden dieses Jahr erstmalig die gesamten Serien der Gewinner:innen der verschiedenen Kategorien des Profi Wettbewerbs gezeigt. Aber auch die Einzelbilder aus dem Offenen, Jugend und Studenten Wettbewerb gibt es zu sehen. Mit über 100 Fotografien zeigt die Ausstellung dabei die Vielfalt der Themen und Genres der Sony World Photography Awards.

Sony World Photography Awards

The Sony World Photography Awards were launched in 2007 by the World Photography Organisation (WPO) with the support of Sony. WPO promotes professional, amateur and student photography and provides the photography industry with a global platform to communicate, collaborate and present current trends in photojournalism, fine art and commercial photography.

Freundeskreis Willy-Brandt-Haus (FkWBH)

Freundeskreis Willy-Brandt-Haus was founded in 1996 as a non-profit association. Since the opening of Willy-Brandt-Haus, FkWBH has provided a varied free programme of events at the interface of culture and politics. In addition to the regular exhibitions, readings, discussions and film evenings are also offered to a wide audience.

Guided tours
Get a special insight into the art collection in the Willy Brandt House on a guided tour lasting approximately 45 minutes. The selection offers space for discussions and art historical considerations. In addition to the permanent exhibition, the current exhibitions can also be viewed.

Sony World Photography Awards

Die Sony World Photography Awards wurden 2007 mit Unterstützung von Sony von der World Photography Organisation (WPO) ins Leben gerufen. Die WPO fördert die professionelle, Amateur- und studentische Fotografie und bietet der Fotoindustrie eine globale Plattform zur Kommunikation, Kollaboration und Präsentation aktueller Trends in den Bereichen Fotojournalismus, Fine Art und kommerzielle Fotografie.

Freundeskreis Willy-Brandt-Haus (FkWBH)

Der Freundeskreis Willy-Brandt-Haus wurde 1996 als gemeinnütziger Verein gegründet. Seit der Eröffnung des Willy-Brandt-Hauses sorgt FkWBH für ein abwechslungsreiches kostenloses Veranstaltungsprogramm an der Schnittstelle von Kultur und Politik. Neben den regelmäßigen Ausstellungen werden auch Lesungen, Diskussionen und Filmabende für ein breites Publikum angeboten.
