Annique Delphine’s first solo show „ABUNDANCE“ opens march 31st at Showroom Berliini.

This body of work is a series of large scale photographs and single channel video art. The close-up photographs of blossoms, petals and leaves being engulfed by a foreign substance create a floral landscape that has no choice but to surrender to its harrowing fate. At the same time the interplay of different textures and movement leaves the viewer with a feeling of moreishness. It is this contrast that makes „ABUNDANCE” a compelling story of depression, powerlessness and unfulfilled longing.

Annique Delphine studied at Neue Schule für Fotografie in Berlin and prior to that she was an assistant to photographer Meeno Peluce in Los Angeles. She works predominantly in photography, collage and video art focusing on feminism, sexuality, objectification, vanity and self display.
