Exhibition concept / Exhibition series
»FOTOHAUS Berlin 2022«
Presented by ParisBerlin>fotogroup
FOTOHAUS | PARISBERLIN is an exhibition concept founded in 2014 by the ParisBerlin>fotogroup with the aim of highlighting the Franco-German photographic scene. The FOTOHAUS has been part of the official program of the Festival Rencontres Internationales de la Photographie in Arles (France) since 2021.
The aim is to create a place that offers institutions, photographers, galleries, publishers, etc. (Collection Regard, Deutsche Börse Photography Foundation, Fondation MRO, LesAssociés, Ostkreuzschule, Agentur Ostkreuz,…) a space for exchange and fruitful synergies.
After seven editions of FOTOHAUS during the Rencontres Internationales de la Photographie in Arles, in April 2022 the FOTOHAUS has expanded in Bordeaux by merging with the Festival Itinéraires des Photographes Voyageurs in Bordeaux. In the summer of 2022, FOTOHAUS offered the program Sein und Schein (being and appearing) for the edition in Arles at the Manuel Rivera-Ortiz Foundation.
The 10th edition of FOTOHAUS will take place for the first time in Berlin in October 2022 under the title Being and appearing: Plurality and Identity.
The non-profit association ParisBerlin>fotogroup, founded by the curator Christel Boget, is a platform that has been active in the promotion of contemporary photography and the German-French and European photography scene for over 20 years.
