Description

The tenth graduating class of the Ostkreuzschule für Fotografie presents its degree works with approaches ranging from social reportage to fine arts. Over the course of these past ten years, the Ostkreuzschule has offered studies in documentary, journalistic and artistic photography. Some of this year’s graduates travelled to foreign countries to find their themes, while others found theirs close to home.
The works from the three graduating classes taught by Ute Mahler, Werner Mahler and Thomas Sandberg explore various different themes addressing questions of identity, transitoriness, the human effects on the environment, departure and new beginnings.

The exhibition is presented at Kühlhaus Berlin [Kreuzberg] over four floors and is accompanied by a book stand and an extensive events program with guided tours and lectures. The graduates and their instructors will be present and available for conversation.
