In 2019, we are celebrating the 30th anniversary of the fall of the Berlin Wall. Gottfried Schenk, an Austrian Photographer, portrayed wall visitors at different points in time: in front of the eerie setting of the border installation; followed by the “Wendejahr” at the decomposing wall, a place of joy and new beginnings; to Berlin visitors in search of remains of the Cold War.
