Workshop
»From Images to Narratives«
Spring Class with Eva Maria Ocherbauer & Ben Chislett
The goal of this workshop is to combine images into narratives in order to create a strong and coherent body of work and as such define one’s own “visual signature”. The participants perform basic analysis of photographic imagery in relation to content and context, learn to understand context in relation to the history of photography, apply basic visual elements and communicate ideas. In this way, participants will create “photographic realities” and acquire the critical tools to discuss and analyze photography, so as to give constructive criticism using the basic rules of composition and their own sense of aesthetics. The workshop is supplemented by one day of technical teaching. With Eva Maria Ocherbauer and Ben Chislett, photographers and faculty members at Neue Schule für Fotografie.
