»Staged, Constructed, Real«
Selected works of our International Class Vol. 1
Brenda Alamilla, Rodrigo Alcocer, Tegwen Evans, Hengame Hosseini, Nelle Renberg Andersen, Keith Shuaib
Curated by Susanne Holschbach & Marc Volk
The exhibition “Staged, Constructed, Real” presents current works by six former students of our International Class. The artists engage in very individual and surprising ways with the dramaturgical, constructive and depictive qualities of the photographic medium.
The works not only reflect upon the conditions and possibilities of photography but illustrate with both playfulness and subtlety the large potential of the forms of presentation of photographic images in the era of screens and displays.
Since 2014, the Neue Schule für Fotografie has been offering a one-year International Class in English for students from outside Germany. Apply for the winter semester 2019/20 by 12 May 2019. Beginning of WS: 26 Aug 2019. More info on our website.
