»Easy Rider Bike Day«
We would like to cordially invite you to the Easy Rider Bike Day on August 27th in the Spreepark. In the special architecture of the Mero Hall – an open structure in the former amusement park in Plänterwald – the musuku – Museum of Subcultures invites you to a bicycle festival. With the mobile photo exhibition Easy Rider Road Show, we show the wild, subversive and inspiring side of cycling and celebrate the release of the “Easy Rider Road Book” (published by Hatje Cantz).
Friends and partners present their special bicycles, self-constructions and artist editions.
In the evening we show the German premiere of the documentary »Les Échappées« in the presence of Louise Roussel and Océane Le Pape, who in 2021 embarked on a 3000 km bike tour through France to meet more than 200 women, all »runaways« in the world of cycling.
The event is the prelude to the Berlin-Paris city partnership, to which the exhibition will be heading in the Olympic year 2024.
Wir möchten Sie / Euch herzlich zum Easy Rider Bike Day am 27. August in den Spreepark einladen. In der besonderen Architektur der Mero-Halle – einer offenen Struktur im ehemaligen Vergnügungspark im Plänterwald – lädt das musuku – Museum der Subkulturen zu einem Fest des Fahrrads. Wir zeigen mit der mobilen Fotoausstellung Easy Rider Road Show die wilde, subversive und inspirierende Seite des Radfahrens und feiern das Release des »Easy Rider Road Book« (Verlag Hatje Cantz).
Freund*innen und Partner*innen präsentieren ihre besonderen Fahrräder, Eigenbauten und Künstleredititonen.
Am Abend zeigen wir die Deutschlandpremiere des Dokumentarfilms »Les Échappées« in Anwesenheit von Louise Roussel und Océane Le Pape, die sich 2021 auf eine 3000 km lange Radtour durch Frankreich begeben haben, um mehr als 200 Frauen zu treffen, allesamt »Ausreißerinnen« in der Welt des Radfahrens.
Die Veranstaltung bildet den Auftakt zur Städtepartnerschaft Berlin—Paris, wohin sich die Ausstellung im olympischen Jahr 2024 aufmachen wird.
