»beautiful«
Photographs and poetic texts by Loredana Nemes
Loredana Nemes
The series “beautiful” by Loredana Nemes is a photographic journey to the country of her childhood: born in Sibiu, Romania, in 1972, the artist returned there every year between 2002 and 2013 – in search of memories, which are also expressed in poetic texts, but all with an eye for the changed present. They are quiet pictures that capture the unspectacular everyday life, impressive black and white ‘portraits’ that find their equivalent in landscape shots.
