Following the success of PopUP GPP Seattle, Singapore and London, Gulf Photo Plus (GPP) today announced the full program for its fourth edition in Berlin. PopUP GPP Berlin, featuring world-renowned photographers Zack Arias, Gregory Heisler, David Hobby and Joe McNally, will be held at Kino Babylon in Berlin on October 29 and 30, 2016.
Famed for its annual all-star Photo Week, the largest international photography festival in the Middle East North Africa (MENA) region, GPP has joined forces with legendary photographers Zack Arias, Gregory Heisler, David Hobby and Joe McNally to produce an inspirational experience for aspiring amateurs and professional photographers alike.
Each photographer will lead a 3-hour session specific to his shooting style and strengths. These sessions go beyond online tutorials, instructional videos and step-by-step guides, giving attendees a unique opportunity to learn from the industry’s best. Through a series of live demonstrations, audience participations and Q&A sessions, PopUP GPP Berlin seeks to educate and inspire; boosting the creativity of those new to the genre and refreshing the veterans.
The evenings are devoted to a variety of public events, free for anyone to attend. These include a talk by one of Fujifilm’s photographers and an opportunity to socialise and interact with PopUP GPP Berlin stellar line-up – Zack Arias, Gregory Heisler, David Hobby and Joe McNally.

INSTRUCTORS
ZACK ARIAS is an editorial portrait and music photographer based in Atlanta, Georgia in the US. While his speciality for the last 7 years has been music photography, he has been branching into more editorial and advertising work. Zack’s approach is simple, straightforward, bold, classic, true and straight from camera. His greatest talents are his ability to mix with people from all walks of life and help nervous subjects relax in front of the camera.
GREGORY HEISLER’s iconic portraits have graced the covers and pages of countless magazines, including LIFE, ESQUIRE and Sports Illustrated. He is known for shooting over 70 Time magazine covers; more than any other photographer. Heisler’s technical mastery and thoughtful responsiveness allow him to creatively interpret an unusually broad range of subjects.
DAVID HOBBY spent twenty years as a staff newspaper photojournalist before founding strobist.com in 2006. Over that time period he completed over 10,000 photo assignments chosen by someone else, often for reasons unknown. The seven years since have been filled with continuous re-examination of what it means-or can mean-to be a photographer.
JOE MCNALLY is an internationally acclaimed photographer whose career has spanned 30 years and includes assignments in over 50 countries. He has shot covers for TIME, Newsweek, Fortune, Men’s Journal and many more. He has been a 25-year contributor to National Geographic Magazine.
