The photographic image is neither fiction nor reality. It rather transports norm and content. Exploring how the photographic depiction of surrounding worlds and spaces essentially forms part of societies, and how it frames and guides as well as in fact strategically shapes these is characteristic to the artistic practice of Gregor Neuerer (b. 1970). As such his work relates to different realities of visuality and picks up forms of expression such as publishing, working in public space as well as the question of an interdisciplinary approach.
