Eric Birnbaum

With his project, »Suburbs«, Eric Birnbaum focuses on youth in the suburbs of Berlin, who have not only been pushed to the outskirts of the city through political decisions and gentrification, but also to the outskirts of our society, becoming a mirror for our weariness. The power of this topic arises from the critical constellation of both the “here” – the peripheral sphere of Berliner suburban youth – and the “now” – the sensitive and formative phase of adolescence.
