»DF11/12: The Wüstenrot Foundation Award for Documentary Photography«
DF12 (2017): Jens Klein, Jiwon Kim, Christian Kasners, Joscha Steffens
DF11 (2015): Susanne Hefti, Alina Schmuch, Andrzej Steinbach, Malte Wandel
Curated by Christin Müller & Stefanie Unternährer
The Haus am Kleistpark will be showing works by young artists created in the context of the 11th and 12th Wüstenrot Awards for Documentary Photography, which is the most important of its kind in Germany. It seeks to promote photographers who concern themselves with real-world themes while continuously redefining photography’s representational function through contemporary means.
The exhibition brings together a variety of works in which the photographers have dealt with the political and social constitution of our world. Methodically, formally, and technically these works explore the boundaries of photo-documentary reality in different ways.
A catalogue will be published for each edition of the prizes.
