»34. Foto-Arbeitsstipendium des Haus am Kleistpark 2023«
For the 34th time, the Kommunale Galerien Tempelhof-Schöneberg are offering the photo work scholarship of the Haus am Kleistpark. This year, the scholarship is endowed with 5,000 euros and is awarded to photographers who live and work in Berlin for the realisation of a photographic project. The aims of the scholarship are to promote artists and to expand the contemporary photo collection of the Haus am Kleistpark.
Contemporary documentary photography in the broadest possible interpretation of the term, from classic auteur photography to conceptual approaches, is supported. The project proposals to be submitted should deal with the metropolitan district of Tempelhof-Schöneberg. An independent photographic perspective on the district as an urban living space of a diverse society is desired.
A jury of experts will select the scholarship holder. This year, the jury is chaired by Prof. Wiebke Loeper.
Die Kommunalen Galerien Tempelhof-Schöneberg schreiben zum 34. Mal das Foto-Arbeitsstipendium des Haus am Kleistpark aus. Das Stipendium ist in diesem Jahr mit 5.000 Euro dotiert und wird für die Realisierung eines fotografischen Projekts an Fotograf_innen vergeben, die in Berlin leben und arbeiten. Ziele des Stipendiums sind die Künstler_innenförderung sowie die Erweiterung der zeitgenössischen Fotosammlung des Haus am Kleistpark.
Gefördert wird zeitgenössische Dokumentarfotografie in der weitest möglichen Auslegung des Begriffs, von klassischer Autorenfotografie bis hin zu konzeptuellen Ansätzen. Die einzureichenden Projektvorschläge sollen sich mit dem Großstadtbezirk Tempelhof-Schöneberg auseinandersetzen. Gewünscht ist eine eigenständige fotografische Perspektive auf den Stadtteil als urbanen Lebensraum einer vielfältigen Gesellschaft.
Eine Fachjury wählt den/die Stipendiat_in aus. Den Vorsitz übernimmt in diesem Jahr Prof. Wiebke Loeper.
