»Essences – 4 Decades of Photographs«
Ute & Werner Mahler
The exhibition Essences – 4 Decades of Photographs includes works from the joint series Monalisen der Vorstädte by Ute and Werner Mahler, 2011, photographs taken for the magazine Sibylle von Ute Mahler and Werner Mahler, early works by Werner Mahler. Also a series of works by Ute Mahler with portraits of the dancer Jutta Deutschland from the 1980s. Another series shows a body of work by Ute Mahler, taken in 1979 during a memorable stay in Paris.
The show gives an insight into the diverse, creative work of the two artists and presents some iconic works. Ute and Werner Mahler manage to develop and perfect their own imagery and technique in an impressive way.
The exhibition is part of EMOP Berlin — EUROPEAN MONTH OF PHOTOGRAPHY 2018.
