The exhibition embodies the first impressions of Berlin newcomers Ilsa Hellman (FI) and VikaValter (RUS).

In “Colours I see”, VikaValter exposes a series of Berliners who’ve impacted her new life in deliberate colour and stripped, minimalistic aesthetic.

Ilsa Hellman’s “Neu in Berlin” is a continuous project documenting the stories of new Berliners. Using a mixture of portraiture and street photography, Hellman captures the diverse range of international newcomers ranging from travellers, artists, refugees, entrepreneurs and drifters. Hellman shifts focus onto other people’s narratives to reflect her own experience in this ever shifting city.
