The color photographs, Triptychs and Diptychs by Josef Wolfgang Mayer were created in the summer of 1990 at the Berlin Wall, which was almost intact at the time. They tell of the beginning of the merging of East and West and make it possible to experience the simultaneity of separation and connection at that time.
The exhibition is supplemented by the photo book “Standing by the Wall – Berlin 1990”, which was published in summer 2020 by Buchkunst Berlin.
