About the exhibition:
This exhibition presents different views of European and Asian zoos.
Though the two photographers — Sabine Wild with her series “Territories” und Hildegard Ochse with “Host Country the Federal Republic of Germany” – vary in their approach, respective techniques, and even when they photograph, their personal stance as to the theme varies little.
Zoos serve as places where animals are collected and exhibited, not unlike artistic exhibitions. They are the end point in the relationship between human beings and animals.
