»Sony World Photography Awards 2021«

Presented by Freundeskreis Willy-Brandt-Haus (FkWBH) and Sony Deutschland

Freundeskreis Willy-Brandt-Haus presents for the seventh time the Sony World Photography Awards. For this year’s competition a total of 330,000 photos were submitted by photographers from over 220 countries – 120 best-placed and award-winning works can be seen at Willy-Brandt-Haus from October 2021.

In its 14th year, the international, renowned competition showcases the best that contemporary photography has to offer, from students to amateurs to professional photographers. Hardly any other photo competition offers such different photography genres: With nature shots, expressive portraits, abstract photos and much more, the Sony World Photography Awards show a cross-section of the world of photography.

This year’s pictures form a unique collection and are dedicated to topics such as a plague of locusts in East Africa, a centuries-old photographic technique or moving testimonies of human adaptability in Syria.
