Curated by Andy Heller & Oliver Krebs
The group exhibition »HOME AGAIN« shows photographs and video installations that deal with the topics of migration, home and memory. The focus is on the questions of how people find each other during and after crises, how they find back to their center, how they find their – maybe also new – home? Adaptation as perpetuation of our community.
The photographers deal with elementary issues such as climate change and the associated decay of habitats or mass migration and the resulting fragmentation of our society. The medium of photography becomes an instrument with which the artists look far beyond the documentary and into the ideal. Be it in relation to global structures, subjective realities, deviance, isolation, longing or hope.
The exhibition was curated by Andy Heller and Oliver Krebs. The two artists live and work in Berlin. In addition to her artistic work, Andy Heller also works as a photo editor for dekoder.org, DIE ZEIT Doctor and DIE ZEIT History. Both have already curated several projects.
