»StadtWandel – Everything different?«

Lars Bauer, Björn Hoffmann, Anna Fraire, Karin Kutter, Marco Leßner, Susana Villares Lopez, Sarah Wiltschek

„StadtWandel – alles anders?“ shows images from the year 2020, a year that will go down in history.

In response to the events of 2020, the photographers document the developments and stories of the Corona pandemic. The photographs tell the story of the current changes from different and personal perspectives. The new everyday life, the empty places, the wearing of masks and the new way of living together – with distance. They portray how visible or invisible the virus is in the city and in the countryside. The year 2020 will undoubtedly remain unforgettable and the photographs in the exhibition document this.

The exhibition is the final project of the photo class at the Photocentrum of the Gilberto-Bosques-Volkshochschule Friedrichshain-Kreuzberg under the direction of the photojournalist Ann-Christine Jansson.
A catalogue will be published to accompany the exhibition.

The photography department of the VHS Friedrichshain-Kreuzberg, the Photocentrum, has been known for its teaching beyond the borders of Berlin for more than 30 years – as a successful training centre for artistic photography beyond the universities. In the 1970s, Michael Schmidt founded his legendary „Workshop for Photography“ here.
