Beyond the Ring #2d | Diane Vincent

Ethna would like to extend a warm invitation to attend the 4th talk in the second series of ‘Beyond the Ring’ by Diane Vincent.

Diane Vincent lives in Berlin and works as a freelance photographer for both national and international magazines.

Her first self-published photobook »OBEN« was shortlisted for a book award at the Unseen Photofair in Amsterdam, selected for Lens Culture’s ‘Photobooks of the Year 2014’, and has been since featured in several photobook exhibitions. OBEN will be exhibited in Berlin at FENSTER61 later this month, and will also be included in ‘Urban’, a group exhibition initiated by Gedok Gallery, which opens at the Kommunale Gallery Wilmersdorf on March 6^th.

She released her second publication »i join the crystal-eyed turtle’s hand« in December 2015. This limited edition portfolio consists of 12 prints in a handmade golden envelope.

In this informal talk Diane will discuss her publications and share her book making process. She will also bring a few other photo books, which have inspired her.

‘Beyond the Ring‘ is an informal set of artists talks/presentations/performances by international artists based in Berlin and visiting artists passing through. They take place in a studio in Walterstraße 30, Neukoelln. ‘Beyond the Ring’ is there to provide the opportunity for people to meet and share their thoughts, ideas and work.
