The Prize
For the fourth year, the shortlisted photo artists will display their works, chosen by the Photography Prize jury, in Kühlhaus Berlin in an area of 600 square metres. Among the shortlisted, 50 photographers selected from the One Shot Award will also be displayed on a digital showreel. Each shortlisted artist receives promotion through the gallery’s website, PR and social media channels. The winners will receive cash prizes, an artist profile on Artsy through BBA Gallery and a prestigious solo show at BBA gallery. The winners will also be promoted by BBA Gallery for at least one year. The exhibition will feature last year’s Prize Winner Jens Juul as well.
BBA Photography Prize was created in partnership with wallPen, BerlinPhotoWeek, and our new main sponsor mpb. mpb also introduced their own European Award in which they chose a winner and provided him/her with a documentation video and promotion.
mpb values inclusion, diversity, and sustainability, and the mpb prize will be awarded to the visual storyteller who best captures these themes in their work. The 1st prize winner will gain access to the resources they need to create their own solo show. MPB is the world’s largest online platform to buy and sell used photo and video kit.
The winner of the mpb Award will also be announced on the 5th of November.
Nominees for the mpb European Award:
- Alice de Kruijs – Netherlands
