Refugees Integration; terror attacks; the rise of right wing populism in Europe; all these are current issues this series of photographs is trying to exhibit.
For the most part I am interested in showing the growing division between Western and Arabic cultures.
My photographs want to create an alternative space for encounters, thoughts and dialogs. My main interest is to explore the inner world of the protagonists by examining their specific lives dependent on their distinctive cultural backgrounds and their unique social history.
All my pictures are stage-managed. The artificial and artful setup of the images allows me to create a bigger distance between the photographs and myself. In this way I can generate a fictional space encouraging and stimulating the observer more intensively compare to documentary photography.
