Arktis Photo Report at Lux&Asa
What is the “Analoger Foto-Stammtisch”?
“Analoger Foto-Stammtisch” is a gathering for analogue photographers and interested people. You are fascinated by analogue photography, want to learn more about it and would like to connect with other analogue lovers? “Analoger Foto-Stammtisch” makes it possible! With changing topics and activities such as show&tells, photo walks, photo workshops, visits of photography exhibitions, lectures, photographers presentation, “Analoger Foto-Stammtisch” is dedicated to analogue photography.
Organized by Analogue Now – the festival of analogue photography – a new space of exchange for analogue photography enthusiasts in Berlin will be created, where people like to meet with like-minded people, to exchange and thereby creating a combined network of analog lovers, photographers and other sympathizers.
What is Artis Photo Report?
In August 2016 our analogueNOW! team member Jan Kraus, was given the rare chance, to document a traditional Inuik whale hunt. Six weeks he spent in the remote village of Igluik in the Arctic North of Canada. Jan returned with an impressive stock of photos and insights about this traditional community, which is confronted with raw nature and hostile causes of globalisation. Jan exhibited his pictures (analog and digital) at Neue Galerie Berlin and contributed an article in FAZ about his trip.
Apart from his photographic works Jan will present his studio LUX&ASA. If possible we will have a bonfire and serve drinks and snacks in the courtyard. Those who have been at our first festival in 2015 at Karibuni, know the way. :)
Who can come?
Every analogue lover, photographer and every interested is warmly invited!
“Analoger Foto-Stammtisch” is held every last Wednesday of the month.
