Berlin through the lens
The 17th Fotomarathon Berlin will take place on Saturday 10th of June 2017. Starting location will be the Beach bar in Monbijoupark in Berlin Mitte.
12 hours, 12 photos, 12 times Berlin – The Fotomarathon Berlin is a creative competition under extreme conditions: Twelve given topics need to be transposed photographically within twelve hours in a given order. The competition takes place under a given motto, which is supposed to be reflected in the created images as well. The motto as well as the individual topics will be announced on the day of the event.
All created series of photographs will then be displayed as part of an exhibition on the 29th and 30th of July, at Heeresbäckerei, Köpenickerstraße 16/17, 10997 Berlin.
An independent jury, comprising professional photographers, will award prizes to the best series produced. The winners will be awarded numerous prizes.
As part of the exhibition several workshops regarding photography will be offered.
The Fotomarathon Berlin is the oldest Fotomarathon in Germany and at the same time one of many worldwide – from Alborg via Sydney to Zagreb there are 79 similar events internationally as well as in other cities in Germany.
Analogue und youth photomarathon
Similar to previous years we will offer 30 places for analogue enthusiasts. The created photographic series will be awarded separately.
Accompanied by adults, also children and youths can take part in the twelve-hour-competition.
Registration open
Everyone, who’s got a camera, is creative and enjoys photography is free to take part in the Photomarathon.
You can register on the website of the Fotomarathon Berlin. Registration fee is 33 Euros, 37 Euros at the box office on the day of the event. Children and youths pay 15 Euros.
