Bachelor & Master Exhibition
»Plus Minus«
University of Applied Sciences Europe in Berlin
Under the motto “Plus Minus”, students from the Art & Design Department of the University of Applied Sciences Europe, Berlin Campus, extend an invitation to their bachelor’s and master’s exhibition from February 1 – 16, 2019. The exhibition begins at 7:00 p.m. on Friday, February 1, 2019 with a public vernissage.
“Plus Minus” symbolizes the tension between fear and confidence, which is particularly evident in the final phase of any creative degree program. The exhibition showcases projects from Film & Motion Design, Photography, Game Design, Illustration, Communication Design and Media Spaces.
Highlight – Fighting Fish
This action-packed video game begins with a supposedly quiet fishing trip. The player is on a boat and has to use a fishing rod to catch as many fish as possible. As the name suggests, Fighting Fish is much more than just a fishing simulation – the sea fights back and throws all kinds of monsters at the anglers. True to the motto: “Fish or be fished”
– A project from Erik Lopez Gerner, Konstantin Kallus, Katarzyna Kamieniew and Katherine Puga Tiedemann – Game Design
Highlight – Story Sensitive Character Creator
In this computer game, players are faced with the evolution of character in a classic mystery scenario. The game deals with the individual interactions of each character. The characters are in a constant and dynamic process of developing their actions.
– A project from Max Tromlitz, Roxana Rahmlow, Christopher Etmer and Carola Beatriz Brozio – Game Design
Highlight – Photography project by Shaoyan Yu
The works of Masters of Photography student Shaoyan Yu combine Western photographic technologies with black-and-white washi films and the aesthetics of traditional Chinese ink painting. The concept of the emptiness of Taoism and Zen Buddhism is a leitmotif that sets the scene for the white space. The abstract photo series Poetik is inspired by light and shadow.
The Bachelor exhibition „ABOUT:BLANK“ at campus Hamburg takes place from January 25 – 27, 2019 in Museumstr. 39, 22765 Hamburg with artistic works by graduates of Film + Motion Design, Photography, Communication Design and Illustration.
