EN: With the exhibition “Quietude” exp12 will start the New Year. The title of the exhibition literally means calmness, quietness and peace and refers on the one hand to the visual experience of the work of the Dutch artists Eva Gjaltema and Sara Mei Herman, and on the other hand to the time of the year the two artists will exhibit at exp12. Winter is a season where we tend to retreat and look for tranquility and intimacy.

DE: Mit der Ausstellung „Quietude“ fängt exp12 das neue Jahr an. ‘Ruhe, Stille, Frieden’ ist die wörtliche Bedeutung des im Englischen und im Französischen verwendeten Wortes. „Quietude“ verbindet die beiden Arbeiten der niederländischen Künstlerinnen Eva Gjaltema und Sarah Mei Herman, und für die gemeinsame Ausstellung wurde bewusst der Winter ausgewählt, der eine Jahreszeit des Rückzugs, der Stille und der Intimität ist.
