Symposium
»Working with the Reservoir of Photography:
Found Photographs, Archive Documents, and Images on the Net«
Artists nowadays draw in various ways on the image reservoir of photography. They undertake research in archives, ‘adopt’ abandoned personal photographs, and transfer images circulating on the net into an actual space. The symposium seeks to discuss the different ways of appropriation and re-contextualization of existing photographs.
Among the speakers: Peggy Buth, Elmar Mauch, Arwed Messmer, a.o.
The talks will be held primarily in German.
It’s also possible to visit the graduates’ exhibition “Tomorrow is Everywhere” during the symposium.
