»SAYEDA – Frauen in Ägypten. Women in Egypt. Femmes d’Égypte.«
Berlin-based French photographer Amélie Losier travelled to Egypt multiple times in order to take portraits and conduct interviews with women of diverse backgrounds and social environs. Losier photographed 40 women whose positions in society are dependent on their religion, education, and socioeconomic situation. The photographer was particularly interested in how women move in a public space, where they can be seen and where they cannot. Losiers book of the same name was published by Nimbus.
