»Photographs in B/W«
The photographs by Gilbert Schoofs are based on the abstract paintings of the nineteenth century, such as Kandinsky, Klee and others. This type of art inspired Gilbert Schoofs to translate emotions into his photography. The pictures shown in the current exhibition are in black and white only. They were photographed with a digital camera and printed by the photographer without additional image processing on the computer, in order to retain control of the finished image. Emotions should also be set in motion by the viewer of the photos, which sometimes have a mysterious charisma.
